The 5 things that make me think of Jason

The 5 things that make me think of you:
1. Country music & John Deere tractors remind me of your love for country life. I hope that one day you are able to live out of town and have your little bit of country.
2. Milkshakes make me think our early days of dating. Nothing like getting a good blackberry milkshake for you and then having me consume at least half of it (even though I don’t really like them –ha ha). It also reminds me of many evenings spent with our good friends, watching Walker Texas Ranger, and having homemade milkshakes in our big blue cups.
3. Every time I see a box van while driving around town, I strain to determine if it is you. If it is you, I look for your smile and if not, I feel a bit of disappointment that it wasn’t my hubby. Your box vans also make me feel a sense of pride in how hard you work to provide for your family and your great work ethic.
4. When I get dressed, I often think of the time while we were dating that you exhibited the difference between yourself and most other guys by asking me not to wear a certain shirt around you until after we were married. Thank you for showing me respect and being an example of Christ’s love for me.
5. Songs, sermons, stories, etc. . . about heaven remind me of the passion that you have for people and your love to serve alongside them in order to lead them to Christ and an eternity with Him.

Grant's Baptism Testimony

My name is Grant Burns. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was four, but it wasn’t until I was seven that I knew what I was doing. I was in the car with my mom and sister waiting to go into the school. I prayed and this is what I said, “Dear God, please come in my heart and I really want to be a Christian, but I don’t quite have you in my heart yet.” That means that God is the truth and that Jesus is really God’s Son. Jesus died on the cross to forgive me for my sins. Sins is bad stuff. Jesus rose from the cave on the third day and everyone was surprised that He was alive, even Peter. Jesus is still alive in heaven and in everybody’s heart that is a Christian. After I asked Jesus into my heart, my mom told me that the angels were having a party in heaven. I am getting baptized because I saw others doing it. I didn’t know what it meant, so I asked my daddy and he said that it is a way to show other people that I believe in God. From now on God will help me to be nice to other people and I will try to live a life that makes God happy.
